In Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, players will take on the role of a female character for the first time in the series. This determined girl fights for freedom in New Orleans, a city on the brink of rebellion as the Spanish Empire tries to impose a new order and establish its own rules. The game takes place in the 18th century, in New Orleans in 1765-1777, between the end of the French and Indian War and the middle of the American Revolutionary War. The main character of the game is the French-African assassin girl Avelina de Grandpré. She is also Connor Kenway's partner.
