frostpunk 2 — is the long-awaited sequel to the cult game developed by the studio 11 bit studios, which has already established itself as a creator of powerful strategies with deep narrative. Part one, Frost Punk, became a real hit thanks to its unique combination of genres: survival strategy, urban simulator and social drama. It offered players difficult moral choices and a constant fight for survival in the conditions of apocalyptic cold. After the release of the first game in 2018, the developers began actively collecting player feedback and preparing to create a sequel.
The developers initially faced many challenges. The first part was both a huge success and criticism regarding the limitations of some mechanics, such as the scale of cities and interactions between districts. frostpunk 2 was not only supposed to continue the story of the struggle against extreme conditions, but also to expand the horizons of this struggle. In the new part, the developers wanted to shift the focus from micromanagement of individual buildings to managing entire city districts, which became one of the key innovations.
