The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt v. 1.06 - PC performance graphics benchmarks of Graphics Cards
BASIC GAME INFORMATION |
Well, almost a month has passed since the release of the game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. During this period, four major patches and new drivers from AMD and NVIDIA were released for the game, which somewhat changed the performance of video cards in this project, both for the better and for the worse. The GEFORCE GTX 980 Ti video card was also released. Due to the new changes, we decided to conduct a new test of the game version 1.06. The test was conducted only for video adapters, since other performance indicators remained unchanged. Below we have presented the requirements for maximum configurations, following from today's testing:

All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality using MSI Afterburner. The purpose of the test is to determine how video cards from different manufacturers behave under the same conditions. The average and minimum FPS were taken as the performance indicator. Below is a video of the test segment, which is similar to our test 1.04:
Our video cards were tested at separate screen resolutions of 1920x1080, 2560x1600 and 3840x2160 at high and maximum graphics quality settings, acceptable The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with Gameworks technologies enabled and disabled. AMD CrossFireX and SLI have finally received proper support from the game, both in terms of performance and scalability. For anyone interested, we are posting the save file of our test segment.

Processor performance and memory measurements were not included in this test, since their indicators remained virtually unchanged from testing game version 1.04. And based on testing version 1.06, there is one bad and two good news:
The first news is bad - performance relative to the previous testing of version 1.04 has dropped depending on the settings (it was not for nothing that we chose the same test segment as one of the most graphically difficult places in the game). Apparently the developers are trying to improve the graphics, which does not have the best effect on the game’s performance.
The second - AMD CrossFireX and SLI have finally been brought to fruition in the game and have good scalability. It is also worth noting that with the new patch, anti-aliasing when using AMD CrossFireX no longer needs to be disabled.
The third is the most joyful for owners of NVIDIA video cards based on the Kepler architecture. The performance of these solutions has increased significantly and is no longer so contrasting in comparison with the latest Maxwell series.
It is also worth special mentioning the tandem of two The GeForce GTX 980 Ti SLI delivers incredible 4K performance, delivering the most comfortable and smooth gaming experience of any solution on the market.
