The recently released update 1.05 for Until Dawn has added a ton of fixes and improvements for both the PlayStation 5 and PC versions of the game. The long-awaited patch fixes a ton of technical issues, improving overall stability and performance. The focus is on fixing bugs, improving graphics, and supporting new technologies like FSR 3.1 and adapting to DualSense controllers. This patch is a big step forward in supporting the game on modern platforms, and here's what's changed.

Bug fixes and graphics issues

One of the key aspects of the update is the elimination of bugs that directly affected the gameplay. For example, players reported problems with Mike "sliding" in the Sanatorium in Chapter 9, which disrupted the realism of the scene and interfered with gameplay. In version 1.05, this problem was solved. Also fixed was a bug with Chris appearing after using the "Wanted" hint in Chapter 1, which led to incorrect character animation.

Additionally, the patch fixes issues with black screens and sudden frame drops on low graphics settings, especially on devices like Steam Deck. This has improved the game's optimization on weaker hardware, which is an important step for players who prefer mobile or budget platforms.

Technological updates and new features

Update 1.05 also included significant improvements in terms of graphics and technology. For example, support for the DualSense controller's touchpad for interacting with certain objects in the game has been improved. This addition will make the gameplay more interactive and immersive for PlayStation 5 users.

A special focus was placed on fixing issues with AMD FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution). Previously, players reported issues with frame generation and VSync, which affected the smoothness of the image. The update to FSR 3.1.1 improved performance and image quality, and reduced latency when using the frame generation feature. Update 1.05 for Until Dawn was an important step in improving the game's performance and eliminating many bugs that interfered with the gameplay.
