DEVELOPMENT HISTORY

"New Arc Line" is an ambitious role-playing project from the Ukrainian studio Dreamate Games. The game dates back to 2020, when a team of developers, inspired by the classics of the role-playing genre, decided to create their own universe, where magic and technology coexist harmoniously. The development was announced in 2021 and immediately attracted the attention of players due to its unique style and deep world.

In the early stages of its work, the studio consisted of a small group of enthusiasts, many of whom had experience working on large gaming projects. Their goal was to create a game that could compete with recognized masterpieces of the genre. The developers drew inspiration for "New Arc Line" from such classic games as "Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura" and "Baldur's Gate". However, the goal of Dreamate Games was not just to create a nostalgic project, but to introduce new elements that would make the game unique.

In 2022, development entered an active phase. The studio expanded, attracting artists, animators and scriptwriters who helped build the game world and make it deeper and more exciting. The world of "New Arc Line" is a unique mixture of steampunk and magical realism, where innovative technologies coexist with ancient magical powers. The plot tells of the confrontation between old and new worldviews, which is reflected in the characters, locations and conflicts.

The Dreamate Games team faced a number of challenges during the development process. One of the key tasks was to create a balance between the player’s freedom of choice and a structured narrative. This balance was found by implementing a complex dialogue system and a non-linear plot, where the player’s decisions have a significant impact on the outcome of events. The developers also paid special attention to the detailed lore, so that every detail of the world seemed logical and justified.

During the testing phase, the developers held numerous internal gaming sessions and received a lot of feedback from players who participated in the closed alpha test. This allowed them to improve the gameplay, add new mechanics and fix bugs. After several years of hard work, the team confirmed the release date - November 26, 2024, and since then, player expectations have only grown.

The graphics in "New Arc Line" are one of the key features of the game that distinguishes it from other role-playing projects. The game uses the latest rendering technologies, which allows you to create a visually impressive world, rich in detail. The main goal of the developers was to revive the steampunk universe, where industrial cities, mysterious forests and magical locations are combined.

The Dreamate Games art team spent years creating a unique art style that combines Victorian elements with a fantastical setting. The architecture of buildings, vehicles, and even the characters’ clothing reflect this style, immersing the player in the atmosphere of an industrial era filled with magic. The game’s locations were developed using photogrammetry technology, which allowed for a high level of realism. Every corner of the world, from cobbled streets to snow-capped mountains, is worked out to the smallest detail.

Great attention was paid to lighting and weather effects. New Arc Line features a dynamic day/night cycle and realistic weather. Players can watch the sun's rays break through dense foliage, and when it rains, water droplets collect on surfaces. These elements not only create visual pleasure, but also add depth to the gameplay. For example, dense fog can limit visibility, which affects combat and exploration tactics.

The models of characters and creatures in the game are made with special care. Each character has unique facial features, realistic facial expressions and complex animation. The creatures that inhabit the world of "New Arc Line" are also worked out to the smallest detail, including the textures of skin, fur and magical elements. The animations of the characters' movements and combat actions look natural and add dynamics to the battles.

The visual effects of magic are particularly impressive. Magic spells look bright and spectacular, creating a sense of power and danger. Complex lighting and particle effects make magic one of the most memorable parts of the game. These elements emphasize the contrast between magic and technology, which are intertwined in the world of "New Arc Line".

GAME ENGINE

"New Arc Line" is based on one of the most modern game engines, which allowed to implement not only high-quality graphics, but also complex game mechanics. The developers chose Unreal Engine 5, which gave them the ability to create large, interactive and detailed open spaces. The engine became the foundation for the implementation of all ideas that were impossible on older platforms.

One of the key advantages of the engine was the use of Lumen technology, which provides realistic lighting in real time. This allowed for the creation of incredibly realistic lighting effects, such as soft shadows, reflections and global illumination. For example, in scenes where magical flashes illuminate dark dungeons, the lighting changes dynamically, reacting to the player's actions.

Nanite technology allowed developers to use high-poly models without reducing performance. This is noticeable in the detail of objects and environments. For example, the complex architecture of buildings, the textures of ancient artifacts and small elements such as foliage look incredibly realistic.

The game physics in "New Arc Line" also deserve attention. The engine supports complex physical interactions, which makes the world more alive and interactive. QUALITY

Minimum settings:

The game's graphics at minimum settings include basic texture and lighting levels. Shadows and lighting effects are simplified, and the draw distance of objects is reduced to improve performance. The frame rate is usually around 30 fps at 1080p, which allows you to enjoy the gameplay even on less powerful systems. Visual effects such as smoke and particle effects are displayed in a simplified form.

At the recommended settings, the game uses more sophisticated graphics technology to create realistic shadows and lighting. High-resolution textures, detailed objects, and improved rendering increase the realism of the game world. At these settings, the game runs stably at 60 fps in 1080p, offering smooth gameplay with maximum detail. Shadows are sharper and more dynamic, and environmental effects such as smoke, water, and particles are on full display to create an immersive experience.
