Radeon HD 2900 GT

Under pressure from its competitor, ATI is forced to introduce a special, simplified version of a video card from its flagship Radeon HD 2900 series. The 2900 GT model is based on a cut-down R300 graphics processor, containing 240 shader units instead of 320.
The video card is equipped with 256 MB of GDDR3 memory operating at 800 MHz, and the memory bus width has been reduced from 512 to 256 bits. Thus, the Radeon HD 2900 GT video card has occupied an intermediate niche between the expensive HD 2900 series and the new “mid-range” HD 3800 series.
