ZOTAC Introduces "Safety Light" for 12VHPWR Connector
ZOTAC has announced a new series of GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards, including the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. One of the key features of these graphics cards is the updated 12VHPWR connector with the function "Safety Light".
"Safety Light" prevents power from being supplied to the video card when the cable is not fully connected, which significantly increases safety and reduces the risk of equipment damage. For additional protection, the connector is equipped with 5 micron thick gold-plated contacts, which provide better conductivity and corrosion protection.
These improvements are aimed at solving the overheating and melting issues of the 12VHPWR connectors that were previously observed in graphics cards of other series. In addition, the GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards from ZOTAC are equipped with the IceStorm 3.0 cooling system, which provides effective heat dissipation, and also supports technologies such as DLSS-4, to improve performance and graphics.
