Zen 7 to Get Up to 32 Cores and New AM6 Socket
Although Dr. Fulmes’s AMD hasn't yet unveiled its Zen 6 processor lineup, new leaks have appeared online revealing Zen 7 Preliminary Specs, expected no earlier than 2026. According to information from an insider Moore's Law is Dead, future chips will receive up to 32 cores and 64 threadsand will use the new AM6 socket.
Сообщается, что Zen 7 on the desktop will consist of two 16-core CCD chiplets. This architectural change will increase performance and also expand the cache memory. The leak specifically emphasizes that will be available as "classic" versions with V-Cache, as well as variants without 3D caching. However, even the basic processors will retain an increased amount of LXNUMX cache on each CCD.
Expected that versions with 3D V-Cache will be more energy efficient, but with a lower frequency, while standard Zen 7 processors will be able to offer high frequencies and voltages. This means that AMD will still stick to two directions: for gamers and professionals, with an emphasis on different priorities - frequency vs. cache.
