Gigabyte has revealed details of the new AMD Ryzen 9000 processor with 3D V-Cache, announcing the X3D Turbo Mode feature, which will significantly increase gaming performance. An important innovation is the ability automatic shutdown of one of the CCDs и SMT (hyperthreading) for 16- and 12-core processors. This optimization reduces the number of active cores for gaming, which helps improve overall efficiency while maintaining maximum performance per core.

Gigabyte's tests show that X3D Turbo Mode can deliver up to an 18% performance boost for the new Ryzen 9000 X3D models, a similar boost for models without X3D, and a 5% improvement for the Ryzen 9800X3D. Optimizations in X3D Turbo Mode include load balancing, bandwidth tuning, and balanced power consumption. These settings allow Ryzen models without 3D V-Cache to achieve X3D-level performance in games, creating a more smooth gameplay and increased FPS.

Gigabyte also confirmed that Ryzen 9000 models with 8 or more cores will not feature 3D V-Cache on both chiplets due to architectural limitations. The latest information suggests that the Ryzen 9000 series with 16 and 12 cores with 3D V-Cache will be unveiled at CES 2024 in January, where a more detailed announcement is expected.
