Sony Raises PlayStation 5 Prices
Company Sony reported about price increase on the console PlayStation 5 in a number of countries, including Europe, The UK, Australia и New Zealand. The new pricing policy will come into effect April 14 2025 years and is explained by inflation and instability of exchange rates.
The PS5 Digital Edition will cost £429,99 in the UK and €499,99 in Europe. It will cost AUD749,95 in Australia and NZD859,95 in New Zealand. The standard version with disc drive will cost AUD829,95 in Australia and NZD949,95 in New Zealand.
It is interesting that the cost external disk drive for PS5 will be reduced: in Europe - €79,99, in the UK - £69,99, in Australia - AUD 124,95, in New Zealand - NZD 139,95. Prices for PlayStation 5 Pro will remain the same.
Sony has previously revised its pricing policy amid economic instability in 2022, and is now doing so again. The company emphasizes that it will continue to analyze the market and adapt the cost of its products depending on the situation.
