Ryzen 7 9800X3D from AMD: incredible 1000+ FPS in Esports games with only 100W power consumption
New AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D promises to be the best gaming processor, demonstrating amazing performance in popular Esports games. In testing conducted by ASUS China General Manager Tony Yu, the processor achieved an impressive 1262.9 FPS in Counter-Strike 2 and over 2000 FPS in the Valorant character selection menu. During Valorant gameplay, the processor maintained around 1100 FPS, while the power consumption did not exceed 100 W even at a frequency of 6.9 GHz, achieved with the help of extreme LN2 cooling.
For testing, we used the ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Gene motherboard in conjunction with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card and 32 GB of DDR5-6000 RAM. In Cinebench R23 Ryzen 7 9800X3D scored 30,513 points, which is 36% higher than the standard result with PBO. Despite a peak consumption of 200 W under full load, the processor showed surprising energy efficiency in games, staying well below its TDP barrier.
Performance AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D demonstrates that with its Zen 5 architecture and 2nd generation 3D V-Cache technology, this processor is ideal for 1080p Esports gaming, ideally complementing the latest monitors with refresh rates greater than 600Hz.
