OBS Studio has been updated to version 31.0.0

OBS Studio has officially released an update to version 31.0.0, completing the transition to the new game capture certificate. This change is especially important for gamers and developers, as it may affect the operation of some anti-cheat systems.

What has changed?

The game capture certificate has now been completely replaced by a new one, improving security and compatibility. Versions 30.1 and earlier ones used the old certificate, and in version 30.2 a transition period was added with support for both certificates. However, with the release of 31.0.0 The old certificate is no longer supported.

How does this affect anti-cheats?

The compatibility table shows that most anti-cheat systems have already been adapted:

• Easy Anti-Cheat (The Finals/Fortnite): partial compatibility with new certificate, update required.
• Valve Anti-Cheat (CS2): works only in "Untrusted" mode.
• FACEIT Anti-Cheat (CS2): incompatible with new certificate.
• Riot Vanguard (Valorant): update is expected, but support is limited for now.
• Blizzard Anti-Cheat (Overwatch 2) и EA Anti-Cheat (Battlefield Series): fully compatible.

Game developers using these systems must integrate the changes to avoid potential conflicts.
