NVIDIA Preps GeForce RTX 50 "Blackwell" Lineup for Release as RTX 40 Production Ends
Company NVIDIA officially ends production of the current generation GeForce RTX 40 "Ada"to focus on next line of GeForce RTX 50 "Blackwell"According to information from Chinese manufacturing channels, the entire production line is now focused on the release of new graphics processors that promise to significantly improve gaming performance.
According to insiders, official announcement of the RTX 50 series will take place on CES in January 2025NVIDIA is expected to introduce models RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX 5070However, their arrival on the market may be staggered, and the actual availability of some models will appear several weeks or even months after the presentation.
The move to RTX 50 production means that RTX 40 series is already at the end of its life cycle. Older models such as RTX 4090, are practically out of production, and the remaining ones will be sold off as part of the upcoming discounts from NVIDIA AIB partners. Production lines previously occupied by the release of AD106, completely transferred to new chips RTX 50, and AD107 will be temporarily maintained in production to meet demand in the budget graphics card and notebook market.
NVIDIA partners have already received the first RTX 50 engineering samples for testing and preparing new solutions, reports Igor's Lab. The new graphics cards are expected to bring significant performance improvements, and discounts on RTX 40 will help make room for future deliveries.
