NVIDIA to Add DLSS Override: DLSS 4 Will Be Available in All Compatible Games
NVIDIA is preparing a new feature DLSS Override, which will appear in the NVIDIA App. This option will allow you to use DLSS-4 in all games that support earlier versions of Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology, even if the DLLs have not been updated by the developers for a long time.
The function will become available simultaneously with the release of video cards GeForce RTX 5000 and the latest drivers from NVIDIA. DLSS Override is designed to automatically update the graphics library in games. This is especially relevant for older titles that use outdated versions of DLSS, such as DLSS 2, and which have not received updates for a long time.
Additionally, DLSS Override will support customization Multi Frame Generation: Users will be able to select global settings or customize them for individual games. Other options include a choice of image quality presets, including DLAA, and specifying the input resolution.
The feature will be available for all RTX family graphics cards, starting with the RTX 20 series. Benefits of upgrading to DLSS-4 include sharper images, reduced blur, and improved performance. The gains are particularly significant in games with older DLSS implementations, where the new version will help to fully exploit the potential of modern GPU.
NVIDIA plans to expand support for DLSS Override, making this feature an important tool for gamers and ensuring high-quality graphics even in older titles.
