NVIDIA Accelerates Rubin Release: New Architecture Coming in Mid-2025

NVIDIA is reaffirming its strategy of aggressively dominating the AI space with the latest data showing that its next-generation architecture Ruby, originally planned for 2026, will now appear in mid 2025This step allows the company to strengthen its leadership in the market of advanced technologies.

Vera Rubin

Ruby, which will replace the current Blackwell line, will be the basis for NVIDIA's AI and high-performance computing products. Rubin will reportedly use the technology TSMC 3nm process, which will provide a significant increase in energy efficiency and performance. In addition, the architecture will receive support for the latest memory HBM4, which will allow processing even larger volumes of data with minimal delays.

This decision is driven by the high level of competition in the market and the availability of necessary components, such as 3nm chips and HBM4, which are already in mass production. By releasing Rubin six months ahead of schedule, NVIDIA is able to more quickly capture the AI market and overtake competitors.

The release of the series is expected in parallel with Rubin Blackwell Ultra (B300) in the same time frame. This creates a unique strategic challenge for NVIDIA: how to balance the release of two generations of products to avoid internal competition and maximize profits.

More detailed announcements on Rubin are likely to appear at CES 2025, where NVIDIA traditionally shares its plans. It is obvious that the company is aiming not only at technological leadership, but also at accelerating the pace of implementation of new standards in the industry.
