MSI Adds Support for New Ryzen Processors and 256GB DDR5 in AGESA 1.2.0.3e BIOS for AM5 Boards
MSI has released a new BIOS version for motherboards of the series X870 and B850, socket based AM5. Update on the base AGESA 1.2.0.3e brings several key improvements at once and hints at support for future processors AMD Ryzen, probably on architecture Zen 5.
The most important innovation is support 256GB DDR5 RAM, implemented through four 64 GB modules. Chips from are supported Samsung, Hynix and Micronand improved compatibility in 2DPC 1R configurations. This is an important step for workstations and enthusiasts where memory capacity is critical.
Additionally, MSI has optimized overclocking for Samsung 4Gx8 chips, which improves the stability of high-frequency assemblies.
