MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Based on 3nm N3P to Score Over 11 in Geekbench

MediaTek is preparing to release its flagship processor Dimensity 9500, which will be manufactured using TSMC's new N3P process technology (the third generation of 3-nm standards). A leak from reputable insider Digital Chat Station sheds light on high performance SoC and architectural details. According to the data, the single-core result of the chip will be 3900+, and the multi-core result will be more than 11 points, which puts it on par with future solutions from Apple and Qualcomm.

The processor will receive 2+6 core configuration, with two high-performance cores operating at up to 4,0 GHz. A radically redesigned architecture will also be used, with the third-level cache increased to 16 MB and SLC to 10 MB, which will significantly improve the response and speed of parallel task processing. An important element will be Updated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), capable of leveraging ARM SME extensions.

Dimensity 9500 supports Quad-channel LPDDR5x 10667 Mbps and UFS 4.1 storage, making it a suitable solution not only for gaming tasks, but also for advanced AI applications. The predecessor D9400-GB6 had results of 2900+ and 9200+ points respectively, and the new model demonstrates a significant increase in performance.

Although the Apple A19 Pro will retain its leadership in single-threaded performance, Dimensity 9500 can beat it in multithreading, especially if the rumors about the use of Cortex-X930 are confirmed. A full comparison will be possible closer to autumn, when public tests begin.
