The new Ryzen 9 9950X3D will feature 16 cores and 32 threads based on the Zen 5 architecture and improved second-generation 3D V-Cache technology. The total cache size will be 144 MB, including 128 MB of L3 cache and 16 MB of L2. The chip is expected to provide improved frequencies due to higher thermal stability and support for full overclocking.

In Factorio testing, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D scored 654.9 UPS, surpassing the 7950X3D with its 400 UPS and even Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which reached 553.7 UPS. Such figures indicate high efficiency and productivity this processor in gaming and multitasking scenarios. The Ryzen 9 9950X3D is rated for a TDP of 120 to 170 W, making it a power-efficient solution for powerful gaming systems.

AMD plans to announce the Ryzen 9 9950X3D at CES 2025, with a launch early in the year. This processor will follow the success of the 9800X3D, cementing AMD's position in the gaming segment and providing support for the latest technologies.
