AI Conflict: NVIDIA CEO Harshly Criticizes Anthropic Chief
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang Slams Anthropic's Dario Amodei for his recent comments on the risks of AI to the labor market. At the VivaTech conference in Paris, Huang said that "I disagree with almost everything" and rejected the claim that AI could put up to 50% of office workers out of work.
Huang noted that Amodei Exaggerates AI Threat, seeking to monopolize the development: “If you want AI to be safe, develop it openly, not in a dark room.” In his opinion, AI will not only create layoffs, but also new jobs, increasing the overall productivity of companies.
Anthropic responded that their head never claimed a monopoly, but merely called for transparency and national regulatory standards. Thus, two opposing strategies collided: cautious and centralized versus an open and scalable model of AI development.
