ASUS Updates ROG Astral RTX 5090 and 5080 BIOS – Improved Silence with Silent Mode

ASUS has released BIOS update for ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 graphics cards. It is designed to improve Silent Mode, optimizing the operation of the cooling system and reducing noise levels.

The flagship ROG Astral series is known massive cooling system, which uses four fans. However, some users and reviewers have noted that even in silent mode, the cards are louder than expected. The new BIOS version addresses this issue by adjusting the fan speed curve.

The update size is 25 MB, and the firmware is available for both models. It is worth noting that Performance Mode is not affected - this mode still offers increased frequencies and aggressive fan operation. If your goal is maximum performance, the update is not necessary. However, users who want to make their system quieter can use a special utility from ASUS.

The update is currently available for download on the official ASUS website. The company recommends using the new BIOS version only when necessary and strictly following the instructions to avoid possible failures.
