ASUS Introduces Up to 2.5W BTF 1000 Connector and New Dual-Power Graphics Cards
At Computex 2025, the company ASUS Expands BTF Line (Back-To-Front), promoting the concept of hidden cable connection. The main innovation is BTF 2.5 connector, capable of providing nutrition up to 1000 W, which is 400 W more than the previous GC-HPWR. The new standard is removable connection, compatible with both BTF components and regular motherboards.
At the same time, ASUS announced two video cards with BTF 2.5 support: ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 BTF Edition and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti BTF White Edition. Both models are equipped with two types of power supply - GC-HPWR and standard 16-pin, which potentially allows the use of dual-mode energy supplyWhile this functionality is limited in the current BIOS, ASUS has stated that future firmware updates may unlock additional overclocking potential.
Along with the video cards were presented Five new BTF motherboards, including ROG Crosshair X870E HERO BTF and Maximus Z890 HERO BTF, as well as six buildings, including two ROG and one TUF series components, aimed at building aesthetically pleasing systems with no visible cables, with an emphasis on improved airflow and ease of assembly.
