Acer announces premium Chromebook Plus laptops with Google AI tools
Acer has unveiled two new Chromebook Plus laptop models, the Spin 714 and 516 GE, which are equipped with Google AI tools to enhance productivity at work and play. New products offer more opportunities for communication, creativity and collaboration through the integration of generative AI in ChromeOS.
Chromebook Plus Spin 714 features Intel® Core™ processors Ultra and has a thin and lightweight aluminum body. The 2-in-1 design makes the laptop suitable for work, study and play. The model is equipped with a WUXGA touch display, which is protected by antibacterial Corning® Gorilla® Glass.
The Chromebook Plus 516 GE is optimized for cloud gaming with NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Intel Core processors, and a 120Hz WQXGA display. The RGB backlit keyboard and Wi-Fi 6E support deliver fast, reliable gaming experiences.
Both models support generative AI features from Google and Adobe, such as the Magic Editor in Google Photos and Adobe Photoshop and LumaFusion. They allow users to create unique backgrounds, edit photos and videos, and generate and summarize notes in Google Docs.
The Chromebook Plus Spin 714 will go on sale in May starting at €979, while the Chromebook Plus 516 GE will start at $699,99.
