Samsung QLED TVs Certified as True Quantum Dot Displays by TÜV Rheinland
Company Samsung Receives International Recognition for the quality of its QLED TV lineup. The 2025 model range has been awarded the True QD (True Quantum Dot) certification by German organization TÜV Rheinland, which confirms the products’ compliance with world standards in the field of quantum dots.
The document is based on the standard IEC 62595 1 6, which describes the use of quantum dots in combination with a blue light source to create full-color displays. TÜV experts conducted a detailed analysis Samsung QLED TV emission spectrum and confirmed that the screens showed a clear separation of red, green and blue colors. This indicates high color accuracy, which is difficult to achieve on displays that do not use quantum dots.
The received certificate applies to a whole range of models: from Neo QLED 8K (QN990F, QN950F) to QLED 4K (Q8F, Q7F, Q6F), including Neo QLED 4K versions.
