Only Panther Lake X models will receive flagship Xe3 graphics.
Intel is preparing a major update to its integrated graphics lineup. Panther Lake mobile processors, introducing for the first time iGPU Xe3 (Celestial), if only versions marked "X", such as Core Ultra X9 and X7, will be preserved a full configuration of 12 Xe3 graphics coresWhereas Regular models will receive 10 cores.

Intel plans to use a new naming scheme - Core Ultra X7/X9 3X8H, which reflects the hybrid origins of the architectures Arrow Lake-H and Lunar Lake. Name "X" will denote the higher version of iGPU, making it easier for consumers to choose.
There are currently four known X-models in the Panther Lake series:
-
Core Ultra X9 388H (16 CPU-nuclei): 12 Xe3 cores
-
Core Ultra X7 358H (16 CPU-nuclei): 12 Xe3 cores
-
Core Ultra X7 368H (16 CPU-nuclei): 12 Xe3 cores
-
Core Ultra 5 338h (12 CPU-nuclei): 10 Xe3 cores
Thus, even the base chips without the "X" remain powerful solutions with advanced Xe3 graphics, albeit not to their full extent. Compared to Lunar Lake, Panther Lake offers more CPU-nuclei (up to 16 in the H series and from 6 to 8 in the U series), as well as flexible memory configuration without the limitation of the integrated LPDDR5X, which is typical for previous models.
The transition to a new architecture will also allow us to achieve high autonomy, inherited from Lunar Lake, while offering a more versatile set of features and performance in the laptop segment.
