NVIDIA to Start Manufacturing AI Supercomputers in the US
Company NVIDIA announced a major localization initiative production of AI supercomputers в USA. In cooperation with leading global partners, construction of enterprises has begun in Arizona и Texas, where both chips will be manufactured Blackwell, as well as the server complexes themselves.
Winemaking Blackwell chips has already started at TSMC factories in Phoenix, Arizona. At the same time, NVIDIA, together with Foxconn и Wistron builds enterprises in Houston и Dallas, where supercomputers will be assembled and tested. The mass launch is expected within 12–15 months.
NVIDIA also collaborates with Amkor и SPILL for packaging and testing chips in the United States. The plan is to increase the volume of chips over the next four years. AI infrastructure production in the USA can reach 0,5 trillion dollars. As a result, it will be created hundreds of thousands of jobs and strengthened sustainability of global supplies.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said that building factories in the US will for the first time allow the production of the "engines" of the global AI infrastructure within the country. The company will use its own technologies to automate processes in the new centers: omniverse to create digital twins and Isaac GR00T — for building robots and automating assembly.
