Microsoft has revealed the reasons for possible slowdowns in Windows 11

Company Microsoft officially presented the update Windows 11 versions 25H2, which promises improved performance. However, while there are no independent testing results yet, the developers have revealed factors that may already be negatively affect system performance how in Windows 10, and in Windows 11.

Windows 11

One of these factors turned out to be OneDrive cloud synchronizationAlthough it's active by default and allows access to files from any device, the developers warn: automatic synchronization can slow down the system, especially during intensive data transfers. Microsoft suggests temporarily disabling this feature to see if it improves system responsiveness.

Also in focus were visual effects, such as animations and interface shadows. Microsoft notes that these elements, although they do Windows visually appealing, but require additional resources. This is especially noticeable on computers with a small amount of RAM, where animations can reduce performance. The company recommends switching to "Ensure the best performance", disabling unnecessary visual elements through system settings.

Additionally, Microsoft reminded about the tool ReadyBoost, which allows you to use USB drives or SD cards as a cache to speed up the system. However, this feature is still not implemented in Windows 11, despite its potential usefulness for weak configurations.

So, for now the new version Windows 11 hasn't passed real-world load tests, Microsoft itself suggests to users temporary optimization measures, focusing on disabling resource-intensive functions.
