Intel faces CPU shortage to replace problematic 13th and 14th-gen Core chips

Intel is having trouble replacing problematic 13th and 14th generation Core processors, such as Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh, under warranty due to a shortage of chips in stock. As reported by Wccftech, more and more users are asking for replacements for their unstable processors, but the manufacturer is unable to provide new chips promptly.

Intel Customer Support Email For 14th Gen 13th Gen CPU RMA.800 1

Intel previously launched an RMA program that allows owners of problematic processors to return and replace the chips. The company also extended the warranty period by two years. However, due to the difficulty in availability of processors, some users, such as the owner of a Core i9-13900K, have to wait 4-5 weeks for new chips to arrive in stock.

Intel technical support suggested that the user wait a few weeks until stocks are restored. At the same time, replacing the chip with a newer processor, such as the Core i9-14900K, is also impossible due to their absence.

Intel apologizes for the delay, but users are left to either wait for a replacement or seek a refund from the store where the processor was purchased.
