GEFORCE GTX 650
Based on the GK107 chip already known to us from mobile solutions, the GeForce GTX 650 model brought the Kepler architecture to entry-level desktop solutions with a price of about $100. The GTX 650 provides almost all the capabilities of the older solutions of the GeForce GTX 600 line in games and is quite capable of showing an acceptable level of performance even in modern DirectX 11 games in the most common resolution of 1920x1080 at medium and sometimes high settings.

We have already mentioned that the new GeForce GTX 650 model in NVIDIA’s product line is located between the GeForce GTX 650 Ti and GeForce GT 640. It replaces budget motherboards of the previous generation, like the GeForce GTS 450 and lower, offered before the release of solutions based on the Kepler architecture.
The GeForce GTX 650 model is based on the budget video chip known to us, called GK107, which is the basis for some mobile solutions, as well as the desktop GeForce GT 640 video card. This GPU supports all the features that appeared in the top GK104 (GeForce GTX 680), and all the features of the Kepler architecture apply to it in full, including the organization of SMX multiprocessors. We have known the Kepler architecture for a long time and we have already considered all its characteristic features. In this material, we will only dwell on the differences of the GK107 chip.
So, the GK107 graphics processor in the GeForce GTX 650 modification has one Graphics Processing Cluster (GPC) consisting of two SMX multiprocessors. Like the older GeForce GTX 650 Ti model and other boards based on the GK107 chip, the new product does not support the technology GPU boost
