GeForce 9600 GSO (G94)
After the release of the Radeon HD 4830, sensing trouble, NVIDIA began to actively move and presented an updated chip for the popular GeForce 9600GSO family. Instead of the usual G92 as GPU now G94 is used. The chip has become noticeably thinner after the transition to the new version - instead of 96 stream processors, the video card now has only 48. But the memory bus has been expanded from 192 bits to 256. The reduction in price is obvious. Moreover, the new video cards were equipped with 3848 MB of on-board DDR3 instead of 512 MB.

Of course, after such a cut, the performance of the video card dropped very, very significantly.
