GeForce 4 Ti4800-SE

GeForce 4 Ti4800-SE
Some time after the release, Nvidia decided to begin shipping two new variants of the NV28 family of chipsets: Ti 4800 and Ti 4800SE. The first of them represented the Ti 4600 with support for AGP 8x mode, and the second - the Ti 4400 with the same function (although the letters SE in some way suggested the superiority of the option, but in the case of Nvidia they always symbolized some inferiority). The company changed its decision to limit the NV28 family to only the Ti 4200-8x variant due to some shortage of updated chips, as well as wanting to fill the pause with something before the release of GeForce FX (NV30). The release of the Ti 4800 and Ti 4800SE was not accompanied by noisy presentations, since the chips are doomed to a short market life due to the imminent and inevitable ascendancy of GeForce FX.
