Studios Nixxes and Naughty Dog Release Update 1.4 for PC version The Last of Us Part II Remastered, focusing on integration of next-generation graphic technologies and eliminating critical technical problems. The main innovation was DLSS 4 with support Multi Frame Generation, which is now available for GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards.

The new version of DLSS is based on neural network model of the Transformer type, providing a cleaner image, better anti-aliasing and reduced visual artifacts. Players can manually choose between the new model and classic mode Legacy in the screen settings. Also appeared Max Generated Frames option, which allows flexible control over the intensity of frame generation on RTX 50 - up to 4 additional frames for each rendered one.

There are also improvements for users of other graphics cards. AMD owners have received Fixes for FSR technology, which fixes frame generation issues. On systems with Intel graphics cards, a updated version XeSS 2.0.1, which improves the quality of upscaling. These changes make the patch relevant for a wide audience, and not just RTX owners.

In addition to graphics, patch 1.4 fixes dozens of bugs: Fixed bugs with hair, snow and depth of field, bugs with the DualSense controller via Bluetooth, as well as issues with textures, interface and cinematics in ultra-wide modes. Localization has been updated, accessibility has been improved and stability during long sessions has been increased. The developers promise to continue support and release additional improvements in the coming updates.
