Take-Two Confirms GTA 6 Fall 2025 Release, Comments on Xbox Series S Support
Take-Two Interactive published financial report, in which it confirmed that the long-awaited GTA 6 will be released in the fall of 2025. During the conference general manager Strauss Zelnick commented on the question of whether the new game would work well on a less powerful console Xbox series s.
Zelnik expressed confidence that the company will be able to adapt the game to all current platforms, despite hardware differences. He emphasized that Take-Two is committed to supporting platforms where there is an audience, and their teams have the expertise to do so. “We support platforms where there are consumers, as long as there are consumers, and we find ways to support platforms despite different levels of technology,” Zelnick said.
The leader noted that evolution gaming devices and computers helps expand the audience. He sees significant growth in the PC market right now, allowing Take-Two to continue developing on open formats. “PC is an open format, and I think it’s going to be an even bigger part of the console industry in the future,” he added.
Zelnick also highlighted the company's strategic approach to choosing which platforms to support. It's important to Take-Two that the technology works effectively, and the company is willing to adapt its projects to different devices as long as it makes sense from an audience and business perspective.
Take-Two is thus emphasizing that it is committed to maximum audience reach and is ready to adapt GTA 6 to a wide range of devices, including the Xbox Series S. This statement may reassure players concerned about the game's performance on less powerful platforms.
