Starfield on HDD: new mod promises optimization and smoothing out problems
New details about Starfield's technical problems on HDD have been revealed, but fortunately, a solution is on the way. Well-known modder Archost (enpinion) recently introduced a modification called "Disk Cache Enabler" that promises a noticeable performance improvement for HDD players.
The game was originally optimized for SSD, which caused a number of issues for HDD players, including lag and asynchronous audio. The new mod allows Starfield to better manage disk cache, leading to a reduction in these issues.
However, it is worth noting that using modifications may result in achievements being blocked. To solve this problem, an additional mod "Achievement Enabler" was created.
A comparative graph of the load on the HDD before and after installing the mod is already available for viewing.
