The SteamDB database has been updated with new screenshots from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat — Enhanced Edition, showing reworked locations and visual improvements. The updated version received significantly changed textures, lighting and object models, while maintaining the recognizable atmosphere of the Zone. The remaster will be part of STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition, which is scheduled for release on 20 May. On consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), the collection will be distributed as a single product and includes all three original games. The PC version has a different system: Enhanced versions will only be available to owners of the original games on Steam or GOGIf a user has one or two parts, he will receive remasters of only these games.
The most important thing about a reissue is support for modern technologies and devices. For PC added Widescreen Monitors, Steam Deck and Gamepads, and on consoles they are promised Native 4K, improved texture and lighting qualityand support 120 fps. Visual changes are especially noticeable in the locations: the Pripyat cafe, the abandoned port, thunderstorm fields and fortified stalker bases.
The re-release is being created with the preservation of the original level structure and gameplay, but in a new technical design. GSC Game World promises to preserve the spirit of the originals, improving only what is truly outdated, without breaking the legendary STALKER formula. The re-release has already received localization support, including Russian.
