STALKER 2 will receive a major patch 1.5 in the second half of June

GSC Game World has officially confirmed that the major 1.5 update for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will come out in the second half of June 2025. The exact release date will be announced additionally closer to the launch. The developers promise large-scale improvements in both the gameplay and technical parts.

Among the key innovations in patch 1.5 appears two new types of weapons: One rifle will appear early in the game, and the second barrel will appear in the late game. This will complement the arsenal and provide more flexible tactical solutions. In addition, there will be A-Life system updated, responsible for the behavior of characters and mutants. Thanks to this, the world of the Zone will become more alive, and the actions of NPCs and monsters - more realistic.

Also will appear loot from mutants — now after battles with creatures, players will be able to find useful resources. Along with the update, GSC will release beta version of the modding toolkit, which allows you to create and install custom modifications. This is an important step towards supporting fan content and developing the community.

Let us recall that the roadmap for the second quarter of 2025 also mentioned such innovations as skip shader compilation, Increased storage inventoryand support for new ultra-wide modes. All these functions, judging by everything, will be included in the upcoming patch.
