Sony Ends Support for PlayStation VR2

Sony has almost completely stopped supporting PlayStation VR2, and the future prospects for the development of this platform remain in question. According to Android Central, the company has decided not to increase production of content for the PlayStation VR2 and is currently working on two games that may never see the light of day.

Since the launch of PlayStation VR2, only two exclusive games have been released on the platform: Horizon Call of the Mountain and Firewall Ultra. A VR mode has also been added for the Gran Turismo 7 racing game. However, users have repeatedly criticized Sony for insufficient support for virtual reality on the PlayStation 5, pointing out that the first PlayStation VR had more interesting games.

The lack of new developments and content forces many VR game developers to look for other platforms to implement their projects. According to analysts, buying a PlayStation VR2 in the current situation is a bad investment, since it is unlikely that the situation will improve significantly in the near future.

Despite the current circumstances, Sony does not exclude the possibility of returning to VR in the future, however, specific plans for the development of this technology have not yet been announced. At the same time, IBM, the developer of an AI-based automatic order taking system, intends to continue working on the AOT project, as other food chains are interested in it.
