Scandal surrounding a former Firewalk Studios employee after the failure of Concord
Former Firewalk Studios employee Xander Farrell found himself at the center of a scandal after the failed release of the shooter Concord. Farrell, who worked on the project's animation, left the studio before development was completed, as did several other developers. He currently works as a gameplay animator for PUBG Corporation and identifies as non-binary.
The situation escalated after one of the X users expressed regret that the main victims of the failure of Concord would be the developers who had invested a lot of time and effort into the project. In response, Farrell stated that he was not bothered by criticism from "freaks without talent." These words caused a negative reaction from the audience, which forced Pharrell to close his profile, showing that the criticism did leave an impact on him.
Previously, the animator hid comments under his post about the release of Concord, demanding an eight dollar payment from critics to return the comments to public access. Concord's global release took place on August 23, and Sony's game's online numbers have now dropped to less than 400 people on Steam.
