Remedy Confirms 2 Million Alan Wake 2 Copies Sold, Has Ambitious Future Plans
Finnish studio Remedy has announced that sales Alan wake 2 finally exceeded 2 million copiesDespite high critical acclaim, the game did not start off well, but sales stabilized over time.
Remedy CEO Tero Virtala confirmed that development and marketing costs have been fully reimbursed, and the studio has begun receive royalties from sales at the end of the previous quarter. The results were particularly strong during the holiday season.
Remedy's total revenue in 2024 increased by 49,3% and composed €50 million, although operating profit remains negative. The studio is optimistic and plans double your income by 2027, maintaining margins at 30%.
After the success of Alan Wake 2, Remedy has completely switched to new projects. In 2025, the release of FBC: Firebreak is expected – a shooter in the universe Control, which recently passed technical testing. Control 2 has officially entered stage full-fledged development, and the Max Payne 1&2 remake is moving forward according to the plan agreed upon with Rockstar Games.
