Max Payne: Remedy duology remake promises the highest quality at Rockstar level
Developers from Remedy Entertainment confirmed that the remake of the dilogy Max Payne will meet high quality standards Rockstar Games. The Finnish studio is working on the project in close cooperation with the creators of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption.
Remedy business director Johannes Paloheimo called the collaboration a unique opportunity for the studio to showcase its best side. According to him, the partnership with an industry giant opens up new horizons for Remedy, including increased budgets, more effective marketing promotion and technical support.
The project also helps to form a new development team that will specialize in action games. "Today, the rights to Max Payne belong to Rockstar Games, but we created the original games, and we continue them to love passionately"Working on a remake is a perfect fit for our studio," Remedy noted.
Although release dates remakes have not yet been announced, Rockstar Games praises the studio's progress. "We have a great relationship with Rockstar Games, and we are trying to live up to that high expectations", the developers added.
The remake of the dilogy promises to be not just a graphical improvement, but also a rethinking of the originals, taking into account modern technologies and quality standards.
