Pillars of Eternity receives an update with DirectX 11 and a new version of the Unity engine
Pillars of Eternity is still remembered to this day, and Obsidian Entertainment decided to please fans with a new update. At the beginning of 2024, the developers released a major patch in public beta format, and by mid-summer it reached full release.
Pillars of Eternity recently released update 1.3.7.1377, which includes important changes. The main ones:
- Engine update to Unity 2019.4.11.
- Transition to DirectX 11 graphics.
- Fixed issues with Kickstarter backer rewards not being displayed or unlocked correctly.
- Improved character navigation in several scenes.
- Fixed bugs where NPCs would get stuck or move in place during cutscenes.
- Fixed issues with collisions between doors that could be passed through.
- Fixed a bug where characters could take a T-pose at the beginning of cutscenes.
- Fixed cases of multiple voice lines playing simultaneously when trying to open locked containers.
- Improvements have been made to the work of quests and dialogues, including combat mechanics and interface.
This update makes the game even more stable and improves the overall gaming experience.
