MVT Trees and Grass LOD Tweak — this is a new mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, created for those who value maximum graphic quality. Developed by the user MaartenVaanThomm, the mod improves the rendering of grass and trees, eliminating the "pop-in" effect and adding detail to distant objects, including foliage and vegetation.
This mod works by changing the file engine.ini, increasing the rendering distance. Although it is not possible to completely eliminate the "pop-in", the mod makes a noticeable improvement in image quality. Particular attention is paid to distant trees, eliminating their "flat" appearance.
What's new in the 1.1 version?
The new version has improved code for further quality optimization (development realdreadstar). To use the mod, you need to manually replace the lines in engine.ini along the way:C:\Users\ВашеИмя\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Config\Windows. If the file is missing, you can create it manually.
The developer tested the mod on a system with RTX 4090, i7-13700K and 32 GB RAM in settings 4K Epic with DLAA and Frame GenerationAs a result, the FPS dropped from 85 to 75, which is an acceptable tradeoff for improved graphics.
