Konami Announces Remake of First Silent Hill — It's Being Developed by Bloober Team
During the presentation Press Start 2025 Japanese company Konami has officially confirmed the development of a remake of the first Silent Hill, which was released in 1999 on the original PlayStation. The project is in the hands of Bloober Team, the studio that previously released the remake of Silent Hill 2.
The announcement included a short trailer, in which the recognizable music immediately struck a chord with fans. A little later Silent Hill Official Japanese X Account Confirmed, that we are talking specifically about remake of the first part, and not about a spin-off or a new title in the universe.
Given Bloober Team's experience and highly acclaimed work on Silent Hill 2 Remake, fans hope that The new version of the original Silent Hill will retain the atmosphere, but will be rethought taking into account modern technologyThere are no details on gameplay features or a release date yet, but rumors are that the game may appear in 2026 on PC and modern consoles.
