GTA 6 Could Get Realistic Animation, AI NPC Behavior, and Instant Loadings — Over 7 Take-Two Patents Found

Grand Theft Auto 6 fans have a new reason to talk: Patents filed by Take-Two Interactive, which the community believes are directly related to the technological basis of the upcoming game. Although Rockstar is not yet revealing details, these patents shed light on potential innovations in animation, physics, AI and online.

One of the key patents (US10395410B2) describes the system realistic movement of characters, where the limbs adapt to the pose, providing lively animation. Another (US10685152B2) concerns dynamic simulation of liquid and dirt - characters will get wet in the rain, leave traces of blood and sweat, and surfaces will react to weather effects in real time.

Considerable attention is paid NPC and vehicle behavior (US11684855B2), in which movement is not rigidly defined, but is built on the basis of AI algorithms and navigation networks. This creates the feeling of a real city, where each citizen acts autonomously. Work on flexible system of object detailing (US12263404B2), allowing buildings and models to remain clear even from a distance.

An important element for the multi-user component will be the patent for Seamless online sessions without downloads (US11794114B2). Transitions between worlds will occur instantly, including within the same map. A patent was also discovered for predicting body movements using AI (US11951384B2), allowing characters to react with subtle gestures and interact more naturally with the world around them.

Thus, Rockstar and Take-Two are preparing a technological leap in several directions for GTA 6. There is no confirmation of the use of these patents yet, but their content points to an ambitious goal - to create the most vivid, detailed and believable game world.
