GSC asks journalists to promote reviews for STALKER EE - but only provides access to review versions selectively

In his address, he noted that the re-release faced a wave of criticism on Steam, which has already negatively affected the game's rating. According to the studio representative, if the game falls into the "mostly negative" category, it will be extremely difficult to restore the reputation.

McCulkin suggested to reviewers to subtly remind viewers and readers, that a positive review on Steam can really impact the future of the project. According to him, any support from the community is extremely important for GSC at the moment, as the studio tries to maintain a balance between the historical legacy of the original and the demands of the current time.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Enhanced Edition includes remasters «Shadows of Chernobyl","Clear sky" and "Call of Pripyat" with updated graphics, reworked controls and improved support for modern platforms, including current-gen consoles and Steam Deck. However, the lack of an original localization became a stumbling block for some audiences, something the studio seemed unwilling to discuss openly.
