Frostpunk 2: Update 1.2.0 and 20% discount

Studio 11 bit studios released update 1.2.0 for frostpunk 2, which adds new mechanics and improves game stability. The patch also comes with a temporary 20% discount on the game on Steam.

Main changes: Utopia Builder mode maps have been reworked, new biomes such as "Unstable Ground", "Oil Pollution" and "Wind Shelter" have been added. Deep oil deposits are now infinite, which greatly simplifies the game's economy.

There are six new faction events, including conflicts caused by catastrophic conditions. Quests such as "Colonizing Frost" have been changed to require 35 population instead of three colonies.

Additionally, the resource panel interfaces have been redesigned and loading times have been improved. New educational pop-up panels have also been added and the generator animation has been improved.

Players will have to explore new biomes, face altered weather conditions, and better manage resources. The developers continue to work on optimization and announced plans for 2025, including the release of the game on consoles and the release of DLC.
