Assassin's Creed Shadows Delayed Again to March 2025
Today Ubisoft announced a second delay for the release of Assassin's Creed Shadows. It was originally supposed to be released November 15 2024 years, but the first transfer moved the date by 14 February 2025 year. The release is now scheduled for 20 March 2025 year. Ubisoft explains the delay by the desire to release a higher quality game, taking into account the feedback from players collected over the past three months.
The company also said it had appointed consultants to look into the matter. strategic and capital opportunities with the aim of maximising shareholder value. Independent board members will oversee this process, which may include the previously discussed sales options Ubisoft.
Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot said:

We are taking decisive steps to transform the company, improve operational efficiency, and create better gaming experiences.
Ubisoft faces a major challenge: the successful launch of Assassin's Creed Shadows is critical for the company, especially in the context of decrease in revenue. The company today reported revenue for the third quarter of its 2024-25 fiscal year of approximately €300 million, which is below expectations. The main reasons cited were weak holiday sales, especially for Star Wars Outlaws, and the discontinuation of XDefiant.
