Company Survios to Release Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition on PlayStation 5 and PC - an expanded version of the VR horror game announced in December 2024. The release will take place 30 September 2025 years, and the game will go on sale in two formats: Standard Edition for $30 and Deluxe Edition for $40The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer that showcases the game's atmosphere and enemy behavior.
The plot centers on a former colonial marine Zulu Hendrix, heading to the planet Purdan as part of a dangerous mission. There she will have to face classic xenomorphs and other threats in a completely single-player campaign. The game is positioned as a horror game with an emphasis on survival and stealth, where the main focus is on the dynamics of confrontation with elusive enemies in a confined space.
The Evolved Edition differs from the VR version with improved graphics, an updated enemy AI system, and controls adapted for a gamepad.. The game also received reworked visuals and optimization for modern platforms. The PC version is expected to support both mouse and keyboard and gamepads, while the PS5 edition will receive DualSense features.
Despite being initially released as a VR project, the new version is aimed at a wider audience and offers a full-fledged single-player campaign in the spirit of the Alien series, made on the Unreal Engine. This is the first attempt in a long time to return the series to the format of traditional survival horror on the big screens.
