Dring noted that almost all major xbox games, scheduled for release in 2025, will be released simultaneously on PlayStation 5. Among them are DOOM: The Dark Ages и Gears of War: Reloaded, which are no longer platform exclusives. Only Avowed and South of Midnight remain temporary exceptions, and it is quite possible that they will become the latest Xbox console exclusives for a long time.

While this strategy has some results—like strong sales of Microsoft games on PlayStation—it has generated controversy in the industry. Some partners believe that Microsoft is effectively abandoning its own hardware. If competition between platforms disappears, they say, then There is simply no reason for developers to make Xbox versions of games, especially considering PlayStation Dominance.

However, Microsoft has no plans to abandon the console business. The company is already working on a new generation of devices, including portable xbox console, created in collaboration with ASUS. A full-fledged replacement for the Xbox Series X is also in development, which is rumored to provide the biggest technical leap in the history of the lineBut in a volatile market and rising gaming costs, Microsoft's plans could change. The industry faces a major challenge in balancing affordability, innovation, and competition.
