Shooter La Quimera from former Metro developers unexpectedly delayed on release day
New story-driven shooter The chimera from the studio Reburn, formerly known as 4A Games Ukraine, was unexpectedly postponed on the day of the planned release. The game was originally scheduled for release on April 25, 2025, but immediately after the publication of the first reviews, the developers announced on Discord about the postponement without a new date.
Head of the studio, Dmytro Lymar, attributed the delay to unforeseen difficulties the team faced as a new independent studio, as well as the difficult situation in Ukraine. In an official statement, he thanked fans for their support and asked for patience.
Early reviews of La Quimera have pointed out numerous bugs, weak plot and character development, and a lack of content. As noted, bug fixes alone will not be enough to fix all the problems. Critics believe that the game in its current form is more reminiscent of early access than a full release.
At this time, a new release date for La Quimera remains unknown. Reburn Studios promises to provide development updates soon.
