Dune: Awakening's Large-Scale Beta Launches May 9th — No NDA, 20 Hours of Content
Dune: Awakening, a sci-fi and survival horror game, is preparing for a large-scale beta test before its release. Inspired by Frank Herbert's universe, the game will offer a multiplayer adventure in the harsh deserts of Arrakis.
Beta testing will take place from 9 to 12 May, and this time they will be able to take part in it tens of thousands of players. Company Funcom confirmed that in order to participate in the test, it is necessary to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) not required. This means that players will be able to freely share impressions, screenshots and videos.
Most of the content will be available during the test. the first episode of history, designed for about 20 hours gameplay. Participants will have to fight for survival in the vast sand seas of Arrakis, avoiding encounters with sandworms, sheltering from storms and exploring the ancient secrets of the desert.
To get into the beta test, you need to request access to Dune: Awakening page on Steam. Also 10 May during stream Global LAN Party Additional access keys will be distributed and new materials will be demonstrated.
Full release Dune: Awakening on PC on Steam is planned for 10 June 2025 year.
